
Off to one side of the building, there's a sort of 'graveyard' of bits of masonry that were recovered from the hotel when it was demolished. These original pieces are left exposed to the elements, where they are clearly eroding away. It was interesting to see what was happening to these pieces that weren't being preserved, and also fascinating to imagine just where they fit into the hotel in it's original, intact state.
This is the last in the Imperial Hotel sequence, so, in the words of Simon and Garfunkel, it's "So long, Frank Lloyd Wright..." (Been dying to say that for ages)
