Genbaku Domu, Hiroshima 2

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 25 June 2010 in Documentary & Street.

Thinking about the famous images of the devastated landscape of Hiroshima after the bombing, and then standing on this spot and contrasting those shocking images with the modern city of Hiroshima that surrounds you... it's a moving, and also quite unsettling, experience.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

The wash of living green creates an even stronger message, somehow . . strong stuff.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

It's a rather eerie feeling one gets when contemplating what happened here. The overcast sky heightens that mood.

vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, Canada

Very strong emotions here, it must feel like when you visit the remains of a concentration camp....
