Senjokaku, Miyajima 2

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 1 August 2010 in Architecture.

There were a number of interesting temples, shrines and other buildings in Miyajima town, surrounding the main Itsukushima shrine. This is Senjokaku (千畳閣), which means "1000 tatami mat hall".

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
