Approaching Versailles

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 14 November 2010 in Architecture.

Next stop - Versailles. The scale and opulence of this place were amazing. There was far too much to see in one day...

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

It looks like the whole world is converging on the place. A beautiful shot, Daryl.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve! It was busy... but I think this is nothing compared to the height of the tourist season.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I went twice there...every time it was too much to see in a small period of time and....I do not remember so much what I saw. So...IF I ever have the chance to go again, I'll take rooms in the village and spend several days visiting...I think it is worth doing it!

@Japanalia: I think so... I would go back again if I had the chance, I'd love to see more of the grounds...
