New House, Little Garden

Posted by

So we've got this little strip of garden at the back of our new place. But I'm no gardener. What am I going to do with this?? Immediate plan: let winter take care of everything, pull it all out, just have gravel on the ground and maybe a few easy-to-manage pots, but basically try to maximise the space for sitting outside before next summer. And get new fencing. That's the plan at the moment anyway.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Well...the plan at least looks promising! But...don't be so radical! I see some flowers on the left that look pretty nice! I agree, though, that the weeds are not necessary. What does your wife say about it?

@Japanalia: She wants to burn it all Gabriela!

I like your plan. I have a fair sized yard with huge fir trees that always drop needles and branches when the wind blows. Endless work.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve, yeah I'm just not 'into' gardens like a lot of people are... I do like a Japanese-style garden though!
