Chokushi-Mon, Kew Gardens 3

Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 15 April 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Hans ter Horst from Ruislip, United Kingdom

I visited the Japanese gardens in Kew Gardens and the Japanese Garden in Holland Park myself and somehow, something is different from the gardens I visited in Japan :-)
Beautiful shot and what a great weather you had (for London) :-)

@Hans ter Horst: Thanks Hans... yes there is always something nearby to break the illusion!

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Hans is right in suggesting the culture-transplant is not totally convincing but the trade-off is saving 11 hours 25 mins in a cramped seat ! It cries out for these color shots, too.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie! But they are certainly evocative of Japan.

Richard STANDLEY from Carquefou, France

Coming out very nicely on this beautiful sky!
Great POV.

@Richard STANDLEY: Thanks Richard!

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

Beautiful colors.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve!

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Lovely setting much improved by the blue of the sky! The Mon stands a little lonely, though....

@Japanalia: I see what you mean Gabriela.
