Ema, Amanohashidate

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 1 February 2013 in Lifestyle & Culture.

The small fans are ema. They are sold at the shrine; you write a wish on the ema and then tie it on to a nearby tree, where hopefully the spirits will receive it.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
