Drinking Fountain, Kinosaki Onsen

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 28 February 2013 in Lifestyle & Culture.

You can actually drink the natural Kinosaki hot spring water from this fountain located at Kinosaki Onsen station. There was a sign listing all the compounds contained in the water, and their health benefits. There was also a warning about what was a safe amount to drink, and that pregnant women, amongst others, shouldn't drink the water at all. You could smell the sulphur in the water, and you may be able to see the build-up of natural deposits encrusting the spout - very interesting, but unfortunately my wife wouldn't let me taste it...!

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
