A Glimpse of Sakurajima

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 8 August 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

A glimpse out of the train window at Sakurajima - an active volcano overlooking Kagoshima city. It was very interesting being in a city that lives with this powerful presence on its doorstep.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

A beautiful take of the town below the living volcano! And...what a take of the volcano itself, a super background! You really nailed this one!*****

A beautiful shot. It must be a bit unnerving or the folks living there.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve. You know how it is in Japan - people just live with threats from nature...
