Ryokan Dinner, Ibusuki 2

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 16 September 2013 in Food & Cuisine.

This dish, using local ingredients, is kaki to kaki - a play on words, as kaki means 'persimmon' (柿) and also 'oyster' (牡蠣) in Japanese. So, they created a dish of oysters cooked inside a persimmon, and - it absolutely worked...

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
