View of Sakurajima from Sengan-en

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 4 October 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

Another picture of Kagoshima's active volcano, Sakurajima, taken from a famous local garden called Sengan-en. The volcano was quiet on the days we visited the area, but it frequently erupts ash and rocks.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

It's an impressive volcano even when quiet. But, it can't overpower this impressive garden. I love those carefully shaped trees. An excellent photo, Daryl.
