Birds raiding a kaki (persimmon) tree in the garden.
I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
Beautiful color contrast with the blue background. Excellent visual.

@Francisco Romero: Cheers Francisco!
I thought they were parakeets y'd taken with you for a moment but I see they are upmarket locals.

@Ronnie 2¢: I'd never fit that many in my budgie-smugglers Ronnie...
My favourite "sabishii nihon fukei"! I've loved this tree in autumn, leafless and full of orange balls, since my first autumn in Japan 30 years ago! It's an essential image of what Japan means! I find them extremely photogenic as well as painterly! And how nice that people leave some of the fruit on for the birds!
And the typhoon is going to be RIGHT UPON US tomorrow morning at 9AM! It is already raining in a delirium of water falling from the sky! We haven't yet gotten a "taste" of the strong winds!

@Richard Standley: Thanks Richard!
Beautiful reds that contrast nicely against the blue sky!! Looks like the birds are having quite a feast day.
