Omoide Yokocho, Shinjuku

6 years after taking this photo, I learned the name of this alleyway crammed with small restaurants and bars in Shinjuku... Omoide Yokocho ("Memory Lane"). It actually has an older, less appealing name - Shomben Yokocho... please check Google-sensei if you'd like to know what that means!

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Ah, yes, and "in the midst of some of the most expensive real estate in the world, this alley of tiny eateries survives" . . A story in the telling here.
