Pâtisserie, Hankyu Department Store

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 9 November 2014 in Food & Cuisine.

There are many types of bakery and cake shop in Japan; Japanese-style bakeries as well as authentic European ones. Pâtisserie in Japan is very good indeed - true story: being unfamiliar with France, when I finally visited Paris in recent years, my honest thoughts were "Wow, it's like having pâtisserie in Japan"...

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@Ronnie 2¢: I know Ronnie... but the attitude to indulgence in Japan is kind of similar to France, I guess - everyone loves 'naughty foods', just in moderation and balance... and when you buy something like this, buy the best.
