On the Beach, Tamano 5

Koinobori streamers placed on the beach. These streamers can be seen all across Japan in April and May, and are flown to celebrate Children's Day on May the 5th.

Most are two meters while a few are 1.5 meters. I got mine in Kyoto at the Arts and Crafts Center some years ago. On my visit there this year, I was sorry to note that that establishment had gone upscale and the windsocks were no longer there. These are impossible to get here in the above mentioned sizes.
