The Dinosaurs of Crystal Palace

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 4 May 2017 in Art & Design.

After a bit of a break - another lizard. Actually, no - this is a statue of a dinosaur (with friend), located in Crystal Palace park in London, and dating from the 1850s. A number of these famous models survive in the park... Scientifically-accurate at the time, based on fossil evidence, this is how iguanodon was imagined to look.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
