Rabbit Island

Posted by

Ōkunoshima is also known as Usagi Shima - "Rabbit Island". It is home to a population of very tame wild rabbits.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Portia would go nuts there. She and a rabbit play chase in the backyard quite often. The rabbit always wins. This is a very lovely photo of these not-so-wild rabbits and Mia.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve. Unfortunately (or actually - fortunately!), dogs (as well as cats) are not allowed on the island. There are lots of rules to protect the rabbits' wellbeing.
